
Darlaston Town return to league action tomorrow night with a visit to Kidsgrove Athletic to the Paycare Stadium kick off 7:45 pm.
Tomorrow is Kidsgrove first visit to Darlaston, and after winning four, drawing two and losing three The Grove are currently in ninth position in the table.
Kidsgrove Athletic have played in the Northern Premier League since the 2001/02 season after they were crowned champions of the Northwest Counties League. Since their promotion the club has finished in the top eight of five occasions, the remainder of the seasons have produced mid table finishes.
This season Kidsgrove reached the First Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup beating Rugby Borough and Belper Town in the process before being beaten by Racing Club Warwick at home. Just a week later, Like Darlaston The Grove exited the Isuzu FA Trophy in the First Round Qualifying losing at Coles Lane the home of Sutton Coldfield Town 3-2 in a close game
Since exiting the FA Trophy tomorrow evening visitors have played five league fixtures losing two at Runcorn Linnets (3-0) and Vauxhall Motors (2-1, they drew at Bootle 2-2 after conceding an equaliser in the 88th minute. Their only win came last Saturday at home over Stalybridge Celtic thanks to a 93rd minute winner from substitute Alex Barnett.
