It’s a quick turn round for Darlaston Town after Saturday’s game because tomorrow evening the first team travel to Stalybridge Celtic for a rearranged Northern Premier League fixture. The fixture was originally due to be played on 13th of September but was rearranged due to Stalybridge Celtic’s involvement in the Emirates FA Cup.

Currently this season Stalybridge Celtic have been successful in the both the Emirates FA Cup and Isuzu FA Trophy causing delay’s in their league programme and despite playing just five league fixtures Celtic find themselves in mid table in ninth position having won three league fixtures and drawing and losing one game each. Their wins came against Atherton Collieries (1-0) one nil. away at Bury (2-0) and In a ten goal thriller at Trafford (6-4). Their only loss came at home to Witton Albion and draw away at Vauxhall Motors.

In the Emirates FA Cup they beat Bury after a reply, then travelled to Workington winning 3-2 only to exit the competition after losing 2-1 to National League side Chester City. Last Saturday by exited the Isuzu FA trophy losing to current Northern Premier League West Division leaders Lower Beck 3-0 at Celtic’s Bower Fold Stadium.

Darlaston after suffering at 2-1 Loss at The Paycare Stadium to Vauxhall Motors on Saturday and suffering injuries to key players could be without some key players tomorrow evening after they suffered injuries. Several players will need late fitness tests to see if they are able to take part in tomorrow’s game.
