Tomorrow, Derin town will travel to Whitton Albion for their first away midweek Northern Premier League West Division game of the season.
Witton Albion have so far played two league fixtures drawing on opening day at home to Chasetown, and last midweek suffered a 3-2 loss at newly promoted Lower Breck. Albion are still in the Emirates FA Cup beating Cheadle Town 4-1 at the U Lock It Stadium on the opening day of the season. Last Saturday they were drawn at home once again and AFC Liverpool by the the same score line to progress into the First Qualifying Round.
Witton Albion have a proud non-league history playing in the Conference in the early 1990’s since that’s time the club has played in both the Northern Premier League Premier Division and also Division One. In recent times the club was relegated from the Premier Division at the end of the 2021/22 season having finished in the relegation places, and since returning back to the West Division they have finished generally in mid table, but last season they slipped to 17th place winning 16 of their 42 games.

Although it was, although it’s being a midweek game, we hope that many of Darlaston supporters will make the trip tomorrow evening certainly to one of non-leagues biggest names, a club with a long proud successful history.
