Darlaston Town tomorrow welcome Lye Town to the Paycare Stadium for the teams last home league fixture for two weeks.
Tomorrow’s opponents after a difficult start to the season find themselves currently in the relegation places in 19th place, having won five and drawn five of their twenty five fixtures so far this season. Following the removal of manager Craig Nicholls, the Lye Board have appointed previous Assistant Manager Craig Ball as Manager and he has brought around a turn in fortunes in recent weeks securing two away 0-0 draws at bottom club Grantham Town and at in form promotion chasing Wellingborough Town, where they played to last 30 minutes of the game with 10 men.
Looking at Lye’s last six games there has been one win, three draws and two losses, but the influence of Ball is clear for all to see having moulded his squad being hard to beat in recent games when they have conceded the third highest amount of goals in the league so far.
Darlaston, having drawn 2-2 with Coleshill Town on Wednesday evening after being 2-0 up at half time thanks to an Aaron Bishop brace, will have had no time to prepare for tomorrow’s game. Darlaston’s recent form two wins, draws and losses in their last six games, Dean Gill and his management team will want to get a run of wins to create pressure on the teams above them in the table as they go into a series of games against teams above and around them in the table.
The gates will open as usual at 1.00 p.m. along with the bar which will be serving its usual pre-match hot and cold food menu.
Admission – Adults £9.00, Concessions £7.00, Under 14’s FREE
The club will continue with their special offer of 50% reduction on admission for local EFL and Premier League Season Ticket holders, as long as their season tickets are produced at the pay hut, where cash and card payments are accepted.
Programmes - £2.00
It is hoped that there will be a good attendance tomorrow at the Paycare Stadium with Darlaston Town supporters supporting the club’s initiative in introducing and bringing new potential supporters to the Paycare Stadium and introducing them to the non-league game.
