Darlaston welcome Coleshill Town to the Paycare Stadium this evening finally after the fixture has been postponed twice, the first time for a waterlogged pitch in December and a frozen Paycare Stadium pitch in January.
Coleshill’s recent form has been mixed with three wins and losses in their last six games, The Colemen have beaten Grantham Town 2-1 and Rugby Town at home together with an excellent away win at inform Wellingborough Town beating their hosts 2-0. Coleshill’s losses were at home to Racing Club Warwick 2-0 along with a 2-1 loss at Anstey Nomads and last Saturday Coleshill visited the Black Country and returned home after a 4-0 loss are Darlaston’s neighbours Sporting Khalsa.
Since the clubs drew 2-2 at the Colemen’s Pack Meadow ground Manager Grant Joshua has added to his already talented squad that contained forward Alex McSkeane and winger Ben User-Shipway, they have been joined by ex-Alvechurch and Walsall Wood midfielders Jack Hallahan and Jack Concannon, also Joshua has secured the services of the talented ex Walsall Wood player Daniel Gyasi.
Coleshill’s scoring chart is headed by Alex McSkeane who has scored 13 times, closely followed Sam Tye on 11 and winger Ben Usher Shipway on 7. Sixteen squad members scored this season five of the sixteen have notched 3 times, so goals could come from anywhere this evening and Darlaston will face another huge test.
Darlaston after a home drawer against Shepshed Dynamo and a heavy loss against Anstey Nomads in midweek bounced back with an outstanding performance at Racing Club Warwick on Saturday when they went in 3-0 to the good at half time and this was after missing a penalty. Despite The Racers rallying in the second half scoring twice, Aaron Bishop scored his second goal of the game to secure an important three points for the Citizens.
