Swifts travelled to Lye Town another club with ambitions to gain promotion, but Stourport suffered a 2-0 loss, but they soon returned to form with a 5-3 big win at Romulus on their artificial surface at Castle Vale Stadium.
The following Saturday Stourport returned to Walsh’s Meadow to play Uttoxeter Town Swifts winning comfortably 2-0 and making Uttoxeter’s position more difficult as the look to escape the bottom end of the table.
Last Saturday, Swifts travelled to another artificial surface at Lichfield City, they were not as successful as their trip to Romulus losing to an inform Lichfield side 2-0.
On Tuesday evening Stourport were due to play a big local derby against Kidderminster Harriers in the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup, but the tie was postponed just before kick off after the pitch refroze in the cold temperatures.
The teams met earlier on in the season in September in an exciting game, Swifts winning 2-1 after Darlaston took the lead in the first half. Swift’s won with two late goals through substitutes Jack Bailey and Lee Chiltern in the last 10 minutes of the game. Dean Gill’s squad will look forward to avenge that defeat tomorrow, as Darlaston look to continue their unbeaten run.
Top of their scoring charts is the experienced and well-travelled Lee Chiltern with 16 goals, followed by talented midfielder Ben Tilbury on 10 and Jack who have both scored 10 times this season.
Stourport will give Darlaston one of their sternest tests this season so far.

Tomorrow’s game will be the last at The Paycare Stadium for three weeks until the visit of Lye Town on 8th March 2023 and therefore the team and club are hoping to see as many Darlaston Town supporters tomorrow at The Paycare Stadium to support their team as they look to continue their recent great form.
