Darlaston, buoyed by two huge wins against Lichfield City and Walsall Wood will be looking to continue their unbeaten league and cup run tomorrow, next when they travel to seek revenge for a 1-0 defeat at the Paycare Stadium on the first Saturday in October.
Bewdley meanwhile, following their win have drawn 2-2 against Tividale at The Beeches, Tomorrows hosts then started a run of 5 home league and Cup games, losing the first two league games, firstly to league leaders Walsall Wood 3-0 and then 4-3 to Lye Town. Stone Old Alleynians travelled a long way to lose 3-2 and then a big exciting mid-week game against Lichfield City saw Bewley Town win 6-4. Last Saturday they were without a fixture due to the FA Vase but in mid-week they lost 3-2 to MFL Division One side Droitwich Town in The Midland Football League Cup.
As always, Bewdley’s dangerman is Dylan Hart who has now scored 11 in 12 outings, followed by Ben Worthington 7 in 15 and Kyonn Evans 5 in 13.
As always, Darlaston cannot look to take a step back, although it is extremely difficult to play at your maximum every single week which is what this league demands. There are absolutely no easy games, and the pressure is on from the first to the last whistle and at some stage this pressure and need for a high performance level from any player or member of a management team, some weeks something is going to have to give.
Darlaston’s confidence must be high at the moment having beaten promotion chasing Lichfield City convincingly last weekend 4-2 and then ended the league leaders 14 game unbeaten run on Wednesday evening at The Paycare Stadium with a 2-0 win.
Saturday is a new day and therefore Darlaston will need to start again because there is no credit for previous performances. A previous win does not automatically give you three points and as mentioned before the level of fitness and performance this league demands to be successful exceptionally high.
But rest assured, the management team will as always be prepared for the game and will look to try and give everybody, players and the club, the opportunity of securing all three points.
We hope that many of you will travel to Bewdley, not only to watch the game but I am sure a majority of supporters will be having pre or after match fish and chips within the town by the River Severn.
