This Saturday Darlaston renews a local rivalry with Willenhall Town, the two towns situated less than three miles apart will meet at the Paycare Ground with the game kicking off at 3 pm, and its free entrance for everyone.

Matt Fisher's squad visited the Paycare Ground on the 10th April when games were being played behind closed doors, it happened to be Dean Gill’s first game in charge, an Anderson crisp right-footed shot whilst cutting in from the left beating Willenhall’s ex-West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield Wednesday keeper Chris Anderson low down at his near post. Was enough to secure a 1-0 win.
Matt Fisher and his squad when last season was curtailed, found themselves strangely in the bottom half of Division One of the West Midlands (Regional) League a false position hindered by a poor start.
Whatever the occasion, games between the two clubs since I have been at the club have always been close tense affairs with neither team dominating a fixture. Since my time at the club all the fixtures have been most enjoyable, maybe the reason why is because both clubs have always looked to play football.
The gates will open at 1,30 pm as usual, the bar will be open at the same time until 2.45 pm when it will close until after the game, re-opening at 4.40 pm. The “world’s best cobs” will be on sale as well as hot and cold drinks and alcoholic beverages.
The match will be played on Pitch two, and entrance to everyone is FREE.
Everyone entering the ground will be subject to the normal check & trace requirements and a mask must be worn at all times when inside the clubhouse, it can only be removed when seated at a table whilst enjoying your food and drink which will be brought to your table.
