The games come thick and fast in pre-season, tomorrow evening Darlaston welcome Stafford Town for their second pre-season friendly, kick-off at 7.30 p.m. – entrance is once again free.
Stafford Town have played their football in recent years in Division One of the Midland Football League, since its inception in 2014/15 season after moving from The Midland Combination when the FA formed The Midlands Football League.
Stafford because of their geographical location have been laterally moved into the Northwest Counties League Division One, meaning they will be traveling North now, as far as Manchester and Liverpool for League fixtures.
Darlaston & Stafford met for the first time in many years at the end of May when 3 goals in each half gave Darlaston a 6-0 win, but now both clubs are looking to prepare for the forthcoming season, Darlaston’s squad will be expecting a far different Stafford Town side at The Paycare Ground tomorrow evening.
Gates will open at 6.30 p.m.
The bar will be open before and after the game, but not during. Obviously, all spectators will be expected to register for “track and trace” and adhere to social distancing requirements.
Entrance is free and the match will kick off at 7.30 p.m.
We hope to see you once again tomorrow evening.
