At the Leagues 130th Annual General Meeting last night the Leagues Constitution was published for all three Divisions

Last night the West Midlands (Regional) League held their 130th Annual General Meeting at Tipton Sports Academy.

During last nights meeting the Leagues Constitution for next season was published, confirming Darlaston Town (1874) will be playing in the League’s Premier Division along with 17 other teams. The constitution also contained which teams will be playing in Divisions’ One and Two.

Next season will kick off on Saturday 3rd August for the Premier Division, the remaining two leagues start a week later on 10th August as both Leagues contain fewer clubs than in previous years.

Darlaston will be playing in a much-changed Premier Division next season, after six teams have left and will be playing in different leagues next season. Champions Tividale and runners up Haughmond have been promoted to step 5 of the National League System and will be playing in the Total Motion Midland Premier League, a league which they have both played in three years ago.

Four clubs, three of which finished in the top ten of the Division Malvern Town (fourth), Hereford Lads Club (seventh), Wellington (ninth) and finally Pegasus Juniors who finished in bottom of the league have all moved to the Hellenic Football League.

New teams into the Division not only include Darlaston and Worcester Raiders but also Wolverhampton Sporting Community who return to the League after their promotion last season as Champoins, unfortunatly their season proved difficult and eneded up in relegation. The FA Leagues Committee moved Littleton laterally into the Premier Division from the Total Motion Midland Division One where they finished seventeenth out of 20 teams.

We understand through press articles Pershore Town have lodged an appeal to the FA as they want to follow their Hereford based colleagues (Malvern Town, Hereford Lads Club, Wellington and Pegasus Juniors) and join Hellenic League, we expect a decision in the next 2/3 weeks.

The Premier Division will provide plenty of local Black Country football derby’s for Darlaston next season, the full list of teams in the Division are as follows

Bewdley Town
Bilston Town Community
Black Country Rangers
