As we get ever closer to the start of the season we continue to make improvements and upgrade the facilities to be ready on the opening day.
The weather has slowed us up but still a massive thank you to everyone who has turned up to help over the weeks to help with all of our pre season works.
Gil, Chris , Adam, Roy and George continue to do a grand job on the ground works and improvements, trimming privet, moving fallen trees, repairing fencing, mowing all 11 acres as well weeding the pitches and car park boundary.
Pau and Heather have done a great job with external painting on the stands with Bob and Neil painting nearly 700 metres of post and rail. Martin did a grand job in the outside toilets and away dressing room.
Other works completed includes the cleaning and wiping down of nearly 100 tables and 200 chairs as well as cleaning and wiping down 100s metres of skirting boards and dado rails. The hatched areas have been repainted as have the first team cubicles in the home dressing room.
The passage way has been repainted, 9 dressing rooms deep cleaned, carpets wet cleaned and the kitchens and toilets deep cleaned.
With Mick, Bob, Justine, Dave, Ant and others all putting in time the work continues a pace.
There is still plenty to do inside and outside so any hour you can spare on Saturdays or in midweek will be most welcome. Whether we can get everything done before the first friendly next Saturday will be a tough ask, but rest assured we will give it our best try and we will definitely be as ready as any club can be before the start of the season.
Volunteers are still needed every Saturday from 10.00am so if you can pop down on Saturday to work inside or outside that would be great.
