Over the years the club has received numerous enquiries to run an Under 18s floodlit side. The costs of doing so and the staff numbers and staff hours needed meant that to run a competitive and sustainable team on and off the field, in such a high standard of football, the club Directors needed to be 100% satisfied that all requirements were met.

The Directors were satisfied that the demanding requirements on and off the field could be met this season, under the management and leadership of Dave Clarke.

Whilst it is very early days, the youngsters, mainly 16 years old, have made a great start in the Midland Midweek Floodlit League Western Division. They currently lie 2nd with 10 points from 4 games, one point behind leaders Alvechurch and with a game in hand.

Their first ever game at this level was a 3-1 away win at last season's runners up Cradley Town, followed by a 1-0 home win against Tividale. A 2-2 away draw at leaders Alvechurch was followed by a 4-1 away win at Wolverhampton Casuals.

Next Wednesday 23 September they play Hednesford Town in the Colin Lowe Memorial League Cup. The game is scheduled to be played at Stapenhill FC DE15 9NN KO 7.45pm.

Following an away league game against Dudley Town at The Dell Stadium DY5 4NE on Monday 28 September KO 7.45 their next home game is at The Tactica Sports Stadium on Thursday 8 October against Wednesfield Community FC KO 7.45pm.
