Over the last few week's the club has been in discussions with Scott, a Telford based businessman about becoming a director and executive chairman ad we are delighted that Scott has agreed to join us.

Scott has an extensive military and business background and has successfully run businesses at home and abroad. Scott and his wife Charlotte are owners and Directors of the Guardsman Security Group and Tactica Sports Ltd.

Tactica sports Ltd will now be the lead sponsor of both the stadium and the teams home kit.

Club Chairman Anthony Follows said, "discussions with Scott were very productive and it became clear early on in our conversations that Scott was a good fit with the club. He is Bentley born and bred and his passion for non-league football was a breath of fresh air. His business knowledge and acumen will be vital for the club as we seek to get back on an upward curve. Whilst our trajectory since 2013 has been phenomenal we have always wanted to add an experienced business man to the board of directors and Scott is the Ideal person to help me and the directors take the club forward. The current directors and committee were very impressed with Scott’s CV and were unanimous in inviting Scott onto the board and in appointing him Executive Chairman. We are in the process of developing a new 3-year strategic plan and I believe Scott and Charlotte will be instrumental in helping us deliver that plan.’

Upon his appointment Scott said "I am delighted to become a director and take up the position as Executive Chairman at Darlaston Town FC. My family are football fanatics and for a while now I have been looking at becoming involved in non-league football. I looked at other clubs, as soon as I spoke with Ant and the people at Darlaston and attended a couple of friendlies I knew this was the right club for me. I remember the ground as a kid and spent many happy hours here. What the current directors and committee have done here is absolutely brilliant and I believe with my help and support we can only grow and get better as a club. In my role as Executive Chairman, I will support Ant in every way I can, specialising in sponsorship, business growth, financial planning, governance, strategic planning, hospitality and long-term sustainability. I have already started some of this work and cannot wait to add my qualities to an already strong board of directors and committee."
