Its back to the Paycare Stadium tomorrow for Darlaston when they welcome AFC Wulfrunians for a Bank Holiday fixture

Another club incentive tomorrow will see the club let all Under 16 supporters in free of charge as long as they are accompanied by an adult

Darlaston Town return to action, tomorrow, 48 hours after suffering a defeat at Romulus yesterday which virtually ended the club’s promotion hopes and for the first time in three weeks. a return to the Paycare Stadium when local rivals AFC Wulfrunians visit, and they are sure to be looking to avenge their Boxing Day Bank Holiday defeat by Darlaston.

The club, once again, have incentivised the game with under 16s being allowed in free of charge as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.

Darlaston won the Boxing Day Bank Holiday fixture 2-1 at the Castlecroft Stadium with first half goals from Rivel, Mardenborough and a Lewis Gill penalty after Mardenborough was brought down. Kieron Cook was sent off in the second half after receiving a second yellow card. AFC scored a second half goal setting up a tense end to the game, but they could not breach a resilient Darlaston defeat.

In their last six games, AFC Wulfrunians have lost four consecutive games. starting with a 3-0 loss at Highgate United followed by 2-1 loss at home to Stourport Swifts. They then travelled south to Worcester City losing 2-1 after being level at half-time 0-0.

A trip to Atherstone Town who have also been successful in this season Isuzu FA Vase followed, but AFC returned home on the end of a 3-1 loss to the Adders. The run ended there with a 1-1 draw at Castlecroft against third placed Racing Club Warwick and yesterday AFC beat beat bottom club market Drayton 3-0 at home once again with two goals from Thomas, Poole and Ashley Jackson, scoring just before the halftime interval.

Darlaston, meanwhile suffered their fourth consecutive away, defeat, the last three by the odd goal and every game was settled by close margins, and in all game Dean Gill’s players hit the woodwork at least once (three time yesterday) and will, of course be looking to get back to winning ways upon their return to the Paycare Stadium
.
All games on 3G plastic pitches are extremely hard wearing on players, especially when you have to play twice in 48 hours, therefore it is expected that Dean Gill will make changes to the starting line-up to reflect this for tomorrow’s game.

Gates open as usual at 1:30 pm at 1 pm, along with a bar that will be serving its pre-pre-match food and fair, including hot and cold drinks and alcoholic beverages. The bar will remain open all afternoon.

Admission prices are Adult £6, Concessions, £4 and children under 16 free.
Programmes will be on sale at the gate £2 each and the teamsheet will be published in the brought in the bar prior to kickoff.

We hope to see as many Darlaston fans as possible on the teams return to the Paycare Stadium as the club now has just four games remaining this season three at home including tomorrow’s fixture and one away next Saturday afternoon at Litchfield City.
