Darlaston have a weekend off as no league game has been allocated to the first team, which is arguably not a bad thing given the recent pressures and games that the squad have played under.

Darlaston’s next game is next Wednesday evening in yet another local derby when Wolverhampton Casuals come to The Paycare Stadium for Midland Football League Moldwell Products League Cup game the winners facing AFC Bridgnorth in the middle of October in the Second Round.

There will be fixtures at The Paycare Stadium at the weekend as both The MJPL and Walsall Youth Football fixtures have now started for all our youth teams. There will be games on Saturday morning between 10.30 and 12 Noon and also all day Sunday.

Back on the first team front, we are now able to confirm that the first team fixture in the Second Round Qualifying of this seasons Isuzu FA Vase will take place next Saturday 23rd September 2023 against Padget Rangers who play their football on Sutton Coldfield’s artificial pitch at Coles Lane, Sutton Coldfield.

Kick-off will be 3.00 p.m. and further details of the fixture will be published next week.

Also in the coming weeks Darlaston have to arrange a JW Hunt Cup tie at the Paycare Stadium against Wombourne Allstars and face a trip to Rugby Borough in the First Round of the Birmingham Senior Cup
