Darlaston kick off their Midland Football League Premier Division campaign tomorrow (Saturday 1 August) with a home game against Stone Old Alleynians KO 3pm.

Gates will be open at 1.30pm, free parking, friendly atmosphere, bar open all game with hot and cold refreshments and food served throughout the game. Come and have a look at us, you will be surprised by the facilities and quality of the football. The game will be played at the newly named Tactica Sports Stadium, Bentley Leisure Pavilion, Bentley Road North, Bentley Walsall WS2 0EA.

Staffordshire based Stone will provide tough opposition for Darlaston's newly assembled squad. Stone finished 12th in the MFL Premier Division last season and like ourselves have had a good pre season.

The two clubs last met in the MFL in the 2023/24 season Darlaston completing the double. On 14 October 2023 goals from Aaron Bishop and Rivel Mardenborough gave us a 2-1 home win Tomlinson on the scoresheet for Stone. The away fixture was played at the home of Leek Town on 16 April 2024 in the final scheduled league game of the season and resulted in a 3-0 win for Darlaston and guaranteed a third place finish. The game itself made history for Darlaston on several fronts. Firstly, it was the seventh clean sheet in succession by keeper Tom Allsopp breaking the club record. The 3rd place finish not only ensured a home fixture in the Play Off Semi Final, but also ensured our highest place finish at Step 5 of the National League System, Thirdly, it was our seventh consecutive league win which broke the previous club record of six consecutive wins at the start of the 1907/08 season when the club won the Birmingham Junior League.
