Following yesterday’s first pre season friendly we caught up with first team manager Dean Gill

“It was good to be back, it was especially nice to see so many of you come and support us in Coventry.

Nothing garners opinion like football so I imagine everyone including supporters, players and staff have minds running away with themselves and it’s completely natural, we’re going through a big transformation of personnel that may take 2 or 3 years to rebuild and yesterday was the first day of 1,000 days it may take to rebuild last season’s squad as that squad took 10 years to build.

In the summer the club invested thousands in GPS technology and new VEO live which will help massively, yesterday the fitness levels of several of the squad were incredible and for the first game back I’m extremely happy with their application to tick the fitness box.

We had 10 trialists with us yesterday who all applied themselves fantastically well, yesterday’s game was perfect for what we needed.

We’re back out on Tuesday night at home to Coventry Sphinx hopefully we’ll see you then”.
