I counted up last night, without players and supporters there’s c.20/30 volunteers young and old who contribute to enable our success on the pitch every week.

I’ll labour the point again that I know this isn’t real football, I know I’m not a real football manager, however, I am a real person/dad/granddad who is part of a real group of people who work their absolute tayters off for the greater cause of Darlaston, whether it’s Cath and Jill, John or Bill the list goes on and on, so today I’m only interested in all the fantastic volunteers who don’t get the plaudits and medals but without who we’re not playing - far too many to list - thank you from my players, staff and myself.

Us men, and especially football men, are not supposed to be emotional but with all the hard work that’s gone on the last four years it is emotional, there’s been challenges of course there has but through hard work and commitment we did ok day we, I hope everyone understands what we achieved.
