Dean's New Years Day Review - For once I’m not gonna moan about the fact it seems we found another team who who have saved their worst ever performance for Darlaston

I’m really pleased for my staff and players who have worked extremely hard the last ten days to take 6 points and they fully deserve all the credit

Happy New Year, and what a great way to start the calendar year, with almost 300 in supporting.

Make no mistake Shifnal are having a great season, resources are fantastic but you’ve still got to win games and Shifnal are absolutely smashing it and fair play to them, I have huge respect for it.

For once I’m not gonna moan about the fact it seems we found another team who who have saved their worst ever performance for Darlaston and I’m sure you’ll appreciate I don’t really care, we can only effect what we do and I don’t personally believe Shifnal could have done anything different and I believe the wise can see that.

I’m really pleased for my staff and players who have worked extremely hard the last ten days to take 6 points and they fully deserve all the credit.

We had several really good performances yesterday, I’m really pleased for Roman who I thought was excellent, the midfield trio with an average age of 19 were incredible when you consider their age and the standard of their performances and the forward line who caused Shifnal the same trouble they caused Khalsa a few days before with Callum Knowles getting himself an hat trick including an own goal!

We now start to prepare for Stafford Rangers in 10 days time, we have 6 games in January which is now a huge part of a 4 month 18 game season.

Have a great start to the new year and I’ll hopefully see you all again soon.

UTD

Dean.
