Cup finals only matter if you win I guess, I’m more than happy with the performance and thus more than comfortable with the result, in moments we could have been better but I’m not a man who watches lads give their all, dominate large parts of the game then gripe because of a few split moments, we win 8 games out of 10 playing that way.

Lots of highlights; Poddy unreal again, JD like a new player since his sabbatical, our midfield trio of Ryan, Lewis and Mitchell were excellent, I thought Lewis was was the best player on the pitch (not sure I’m allowed to say that), I think all my squad in reflection will have learned something last night if they’re humble and wise enough.

I’d like to thank Phil Smart, Scott Bevan and Steve Davis at Wolves for Jimmy, Stan and Hayden, all 3 have lit up our club with such high levels of brilliance in every department, all 3 fully emerged into our ways and 3 better boys you’ll struggle to find anywhere, it’s also very humbling how well we’ve been treated in every interaction with Wolves, thank you.

I’ll sign off by asking everyone to reflect on where we were 4 seasons ago and the magical moments we’ve had in those years, sometimes you have to be humble enough to accept we can’t win them all and celebrate trying.
