Four games in nine days with two wins and two draws and into the next round of the Emirates FA Cup to boot, I’m in full awe of, and have the utmost respect for, our lads and staff for another great week.
Yesterday was another game we think we edged but I’d be a fool if I started stressing and bemoaning my luck about not beating Boldmere away, my players were very frustrated after the game, and we discussed that at length and how not to let emotions cloud their view on performance/s and reality of challenges we face.
Kitch has a good side in Boldmere who do what they do very, very well and for everyone in Darlaston bar me to be frustrated says lots about how far we’ve come in recent times.
No huge stand out players yesterday as the standard was high off everyone, it was good to get Taylor Eades his first start and he had a great hour, Bish (Aaron Bishop) scored a great instinctive goal and again Chezza (Harry Chesterton) had a great game against probably his hardest opponent and their biggest threat.
Finally, thank you to the supporters from Darlaston who came in great numbers and supported the team fantastically - Thank you.
We can now forget about league action for a week and concentrate on Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup game at Harborough Town, I know we’ve already got many supporters booked onto the coach - thank you.
Have a great week
