Darlaston Town's captain Alexander Foreshaw was sent off for violent conduct in the 94th minute last Saturday playing for The Citizens at Long Eaton United in a league fixture.

After reviewing the VEO recording of the game and stills of the incident taken by the clubs photographer, the first team management team asked the club to submit a claim of Wrongful Dismissal on Alex’s behalf.

The appeal papers which were prepared jointly between the club and management team along with video evidence and images were submitted The FA on Tuesday for consideration.

This afternoon an FA Regulatory Commission ruled that the clubs wrongful dismissal claim had been successful therefore Alex will not have to serve his three game suspension and can be considered for selection for Saturdays visit of the newly crowned league champions Quorn to the Paycare Stadium.

The club would also like to thank the officials, management team and the player at Long Eaton United who provided written support in respect of our claim.
