Management Team Update.

Following the clubs move to The Northern Premier League West Division, Manager Dean Gill has moved to strengthen the club’s management team with new faces that have knowledge of difficult task the club faces in the coming season because they have coached and managed within the West Division last season.

The three new additions will join Grant Winwood and Scott Cooksey who both have strong qualities.

He turned professional at 17 and stayed at the Albion until 20. He later signed for Stourbridge, Hednesford and has played for numerous other local teams.

Last season Dom was first team coach at Kidsgrove Athletic last season who also play in the NPL West Division after previously being on the management team at Stafford Rangers under 21’s and Stafford Town, amongst others. Manager Dean Gill has known Dom for many years and said on appointing him “Dom is a great person who will be vital to our environment.”

Secondly the club are delighted to announce Martin Prentice will be joining the club as a first team coach.

Martin is a UEFA A Licensed Coach with significant experience of coaching within the NPL West Division, as well as coaching within the Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy for six years.

He has been assistant manager at Tamworth followed by a short time at Hucknall Town before moving on to be first team coach at Stafford Rangers for five years.

After leaving Stafford Martin moved to Chasetown as a coach but was then made assistant manager.

He also had a spell at Gresley Rovers before moving on to be a first team coach at Hednesford Town.

Finally, Alex Heath who joins the club as First Team Scout - Alex also has extensive knowledge of NPL West Division and will assist greatly in fast tracking Manager Dean Gill’s knowledge of the league.
