Wednesday’s fixture against Bury will see a month since being announced as the interim Chairman of my boyhood club. A proud moment for me and my family following in the footsteps of my Grandad who over the years has chaired managed and is currently treasurer of our club.

Our football club has always been more than just a team on the pitch but a symbol of local pride and togetherness. A club with deep roots a rich local history and a passionate community behind it.

The club has built rock solid foundations over the last 12 years which puts us in the highest league position the club has ever achieved in its long history. It’s strength and core are its committee and volunteers who always go above and beyond.

It is on these foundations we now look to build and push on. We are building on our matchday experience and strengthening our community programmes and want to ensure that the club is a welcome place for all families, supporters and volunteers. This cannot be achieved without the people that matter YOU the supporters and local community.

I would like to encourage everyone in Darlaston, Bentley and surrounding areas to be part of the journey. Whether you’ve supported the club for decades or are thinking of attending your first match, you will be welcomed with open arms.

Your support in the stands, at club events or by simply spreading the word makes a real difference. Every voice, every cheer, and every shared moment brings energy to the club and helps us drive forward.

Come along to a game, bring the family, attend a function or simply reconnect with your local football club as together we look to build and move forward.
