The club can confirm that they have this evening parted with first team manager Adam "Savo" Pearce.
The Chairman, Directors and Board have made the decision that a change is required at this stage of the season as we look to move the club forward.
Chairman Ant Follows said " It was a very difficult decision for the Board to make. "Savo" came in pre season and with all but one of last season's squad leaving the club he had to put together a brand new squad. His hard work, commitment and dedication to the club over the last four months or so was superb.
Pre season looked promising and we were all hopeful we had turned the corner after a very difficult end to last season. "Savo" settled in very well and everyone was looking forward to the start of the season. Unfortunately our league and cup form has been poor with just one win and two draws in 12 league and cup games. This has left us near the foot of the table and whilst there are still plenty of league games left, the level of improvement needed on the pitch was not evident to the Board.
We thank Savo for all of his efforts and wish him well in the future."
The Board have asked Assistant Manager Mark Swann to take charge of the game at Stockport Georgians and future games until a new manager is appointed. Mark has the full support of the Board.
The club is now inviting applications for the position of first team manager. A shortlist will then be drawn up with interviews to follow. Anyone interested in applying for the position should send their application, including their football CV by email to -

Supporters will be kept informed of progress in making the appointment.
For now the focus is on tomorrow's away game at Stockport Georgians, supporters are asked to get behind "Swanny" and the team.
