The FA have this morning published the draws for the opening rounds of FA Competitions.
Darlaston Town are in both the FA Cup and FA Vase and have been drawn away in both.
A brand new Darlaston side have been drawn away in the FA Cup to Hellenic League Premier Division Knowle FC in the Extra Preliminary round on Saturday 8 August. History will be made on the day in as this will be Knowle's first ever venture in the FA Cup.
Knowle were runaway winners of the Midland League Division One last season with 106 points and 115 goals. They were promoted to the Hellenic League and will be very difficult opponents in what will be Savo's 2nd competitive game at the helm.
A week later on Saturday 15 August Darlaston travel to Telford Town in the First Round Qualifying of the FA Vase. Telford Town play in the North West Counties Football League Division One South, finishing 8th last season just 6 points off a play off position.
