
Darlaston Town are devastated to hear of the passing of their oldest supporter over the Christmas Period
Harold “H” Steventon passed away during Christmas at 100 years young.
A longtime supporter of Darlaston Town, both at The City Ground where he also served on the Clubs Committee, and The Paycare Stadium when he beloved West Bromwich Albion were playing away. He was well known to everyone involved with and supported Darlaston Town.
“H” celebrated his 100th birthday on 8th September last year and even sponsored the game against Mossley on Saturday 30th August as part of his birthday celebrations.
The Directors and Committee Members of the club would like to express their sincerest condolences to the family, and you are definitely in our thoughts.
“H”’s funeral will take place at Sandwell Valley Crematorium, Newton Road, WEST BROMWICH, B71 3SX on Tuesday 23rd January 2026.
The family have said that anyone wishing to pay their respects to “H” will be more than welcome to attend the Crematorium but following the service there will be a Private Family Gathering.
The Club and its supporters will pay their respects to “H” and the family with a minutes applause before the Avro home game on Wednesday 14th January
