James is very highly thought of at Wolves said Dean, “that's why we could not pass up the opportunity of working with a top young keeper"

Darlaston Town are delighted to secure a Wolverhampton Wanderers prospect for a three month loan

Yesterday the club agreed to take Premier League squad member James Storer on loan until January, James is a 6’5” goalkeeper who has a massive presence in the penalty area.

19-year-old James played his first U18’s game against Leeds United in October 2020 as a 16-year-old. In August 2022 he made his Premier League 2 debut in a 1-0 at Blackburn Rovers. Increasingly he has played more for the Premier League 2 side and last season James played 18 games in successful season as well as being part of the squad beaten on penalties by Darlaston Town in the Birmingham Senior Cup last December.

Dean is delighted to been able to secure his services for all League and Cup games until the transfer window opens in January, when it is hoped his stay will be extended to the end of the season. “James is very highly thought of at Wolves said Dean, “thats why we could not pass up the opportunity of working with a top young keeper. As always, we will look to work with James to improve him on and off the pitch, and so far, he has really impressed, especially his distribution which will give us another dimension to our play”.

I have had to be very patient with our signings this preseason and this is exactly the reason why, for us to have anything like a successful season we need quality not quantity and James is exactly that.
