After last Sunday’s disappointment following Halas Hawks Women unable to field a team in the Birmingham County FA Womens Cup, Darlaston Ladies return to League action traveling to play Walsall 1st Ladies at Rushall Olympics ground
Walsall so far this season have only played three League games which has an impact on the team’s position of ninth within a League of ten teams, therefore Walsall’s current position is false. Of their three games, Sunday’s hosts have played two of the top three sides in Shifnal Town Ladies and Shrewsbury Town Women losing both games 7-2.
Last Sunday Walsall Ladies achieved their first win of the season at Wyrley Ladies winning 3-2 with two goals from Maja Szymkowiak and one from Jade Harris.
Whereas Darlaston have played five games wining two, and losing two and a single draw, Darlaston’s Ladies have lost against the two teams and also drew against Shifnal Town who currently head the League.
After another fine training session this week, Darlaston Ladies new management team of Nat Barnes and Club Vice Chairman Garry Hale are beginning to organise the Ladies in the way they wish to play, so Sunday’s game which will be played on a fine surface promise much as Darlaston Ladies will look to pay their usual attractive style of football.
The Management team have reported a fully fit and available squad for Sunday’s fixture; therefore, they will take a strong squad to the game.
Kick off 2pm ENTRANCE IS FREE, and the address of the game is Rushall Olympic FC, Daw End, Walsall, Staffordshire WS4 1LJ
