Darlaston travelled to Telford Town hoping to progress in the FA Vase against the North West Counties Division One side. Despite having the lions share of the chances, they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at 90 minutes before gong down 6-5 on penalties.

Darlaston opened on the front foot and created several early chances. Wayne Muyabi broke down the right, his low driven cross, across the face of goal evading the oncoming Finn Douglas by inches.

The visitors continued to press forward. Debutant Nathan Scott impressing including two good efforts at goal. Firstly a 20 yard effort hitting the post and another powerfully struck 22 yard effort going a yard wide.

Agyemang and Ibhadon both had chances before Agyemang deservedly broke the deadlock on 27 minutes. An attempted back pass was intercepted by Agyemang who just beat keeper George Scott to the ball, eventually slotting home from 8 yards at the second attempt.

David Agyekum and Muyabi both failed to convert before on the stroke of half time Scott saved a header from skipper Jordan Spragg who got on the end of an Isaac Cooper freekick.

Telford started the second half well, having the better of the opening 15 minutes. Desean Martin and Tyrone Alari looking positive both creating half chances. the equaliser came on 57 minutes, Joe Cuff just beating the offside trap to round keeper Adam Jenkins and slot home into an empty net.

David Anani and Godfred Sumerville were excellent at the heart of the Telford defence thwarting Muyabi, Douglas and Agyemang on several occasions.

Darlaston missed a glorious opportunity to progress late on, Ben McSkeane heading wide when unopposed at the far post.

The tie went to penalties to decide who would meet Bewdley Town in the next round. At 1-1 keeper Jenkins saved only to have been adjudged to have moved off his line too early, Telford converting the re-taken penalty. The next 8 penalties were converted until Darlaston missed, Telford progressing 6-5 on penalties.
