
Darlaston will travel to south Birmingham tomorrow evening for another pre-season game on a 4G pitch when they face Midland Football League Division One side Paget Rangers at their new home at Castle Vale Stadium.
Darlaston Town are no strangers to this ground as they have played Romulus twice in the past two seasons at this facility, Romulus have changed places with Paget Rangers, they have returned to Sutton Coldfield’s ground at Coles Lane.
Last Season Paget Rangers had a difficult season, after they gave Darlaston a run for their money at Sutton Coldfield’s ground in the Isuzu FA Vase last season, Darlaston scoring three goals in 9 second half minutes to book a place in the first round of the Vase.
Paget’s season ended with them finishing in 19th place in the league and avoided relegation booking their place once again in Division One of the Midland Football League, where they will continue to develop their predominantly home grown youth players under the management of Sean Feeney, who has appointed Mike Pitt as head coach as well as recruiting an experienced backroom team.
