Darlaston are set to travel to Stafford Rangers tomorrow for another big league fixture

Simon Cox9 Jan - 13:55

The trip to Stafford Rangers tomorrow is the first of three big games in eight days for The Citizens

Darlaston Town are tomorrow due to travel to Stafford Rangers for yet another important Northern Premier League fixture one of three in the coming eight days because Wednesday evening Avro will be travelling to the Paycare Stadium and then next Saturday 17th of October the Citizens will be travelling to Bury.

Tomorrow’s game is very much at the mercy of the weather overnight. Last night they only had three inches of snow which is thawing fast. The m6 and local roads are clear. Currently no pitch Inspection has been arranged or planned.

Stafford Rangers recent form has seen them lose the last seven competitive fixtures and pick up two points in their last 10 games with draws away at Moseley and Sporting Khalsa.

The difficult run of games has seen Rangers drop down the table to 17th. In their 25 league games they have won 6 drawn 5 and lost 14 securing 23 points just three points more than Darlaston who also have a game in hand.

Stafford Rangers last weekend parted company with Manager Neil Kitching after just under 12 months in charge which saw Kitching avoid relegation at the end of last season. But clearly recent form has left Rangers in a difficult position. They Club then confirmed announced the club announced Graham Deacon as Manager until the end of the season he will be assisted by Dan Cockerline and Scott Cooksey who started the season as Darlaston’s goalkeeping coach.

Darlaston meanwhile since their New Year’s Day win over Shifnal Town, have had a very busy 10-day period due to several players loans coming to an end and training has been hindered by the recent weather. Rest assured the squad will be fully prepared. I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s trip to. To the Stan Robinson Stadium to face Stafford Rangers.

The address for tomorrow’s game is
Stafford Rangers
The Stan Robinson Stadium
Marston Road
Stafford
ST16 3BX

Admission charges are as follows
Adults £13, Concessions £8, Students £8, U16’s £4. Transfer to the stand £2
Stafford Ranges will accept cash or card payments on both entry to the ground and in the bar.

We hope to see as many Johnson supporters as possible at tomorrow’s fixture to support the team.

Please keep checking the club’s website and social media feeds for further updates regarding the fixture, they will be published as soon as we are informed, either way on or off.
