Our 4 pitches have already been verti drained and re-seeded. Work has commenced on tree removal and hedge trimming, whilst 7 of the dressing rooms have been deep cleaned. Despite the great start there is still an awful lot of work to do.

With the weather forecast improving, there is plenty to do both inside and outside. We are extremely thankful to Dave Haskett and Aldridge based D & R Contract Services for their magnificent donation of paint and materials. Their donation will allow us to spruce up the ground, club house and dressing rooms.

We need to improve the car park and edging, strimming and trimming the outside areas is still needed as is some painting on the post and rail and posts and fencing. The Inside work includes a deep clean on 2 dressing rooms as well as the inside and outside toilets, two club rooms, two kitchens and all other parts of the club. There also about 50 windows to clean inside and out as well as to clean and wipe down the club facia but Richie Millward of Ri-Lex window cleaning has kindly offered to do this for us.

So if you have any time available, an hour or so will do, please pop down to the club this Saturday morning between 10 am and noon. You can work inside or outside at your own pace. Cleaning and painting materials will be provided but it would help if you brought your own protective workwear. If you wish to work outside we have plenty of equipment but again it would help if you brought your own gloves, spade, grass edger, hedge trimmer etc.

All help will be gratefully received whether you can do an hour or more, one week or every week. We will have a working party at the club every Saturday morning from 10 am for a couple of hours until the start of the season. If you cannot make Saturdays but have some time to help out in midweek, then some of us will be down in midweek as well, so please let us know whenever you are available.
