The Midland Football League held its AGM at The Village Hotel Solihull on Monday evening of this week, Secretary Simon Cox and Chairman Neil Chambers attended on behalf of the club.
The meeting confirmed the constitutions of all MFL Divisions. It was confirmed that the top two in the Premier Division last season, Walsall Wood, and Lye Town, have both been promoted to Step 4 and will play in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division. The bottom two teams, Market Drayton Town and Uttoxeter Town have both been relegated to the North West Counties League Division One. Champions of the MFL Division One, Dudley Town, have been promoted to The Premier Division.
As part of the FAs lateral movement of clubs across Steps 4 and 5 Racing Club Warwick will move to the United Counties Premier Division whilst Worcester City will move across to The Hellenic Premier Division. Also, part of the FAs lateral movement of clubs, coming into the Premier Division will be three teams from the North West Counties League Premier Division, namely, Congleton Town, Winsford United and Northwich Victoria. Winsford United and Northwich Victoria have both appealed against their moves to the FA and the outcome of those appeals will be determined in the next few weeks.
