Having now played, more than half of the League season, the team management along with the club committee thought the time was right to hold a second evening with the club’s supporters on Tuesday 13th December 2022 starting at 7.30 pm, the bar will of course be open.

The First Team Management Team, along with Club Directors and Committee Members will be available to answer all supporters questions relating to the club. This will include average gates lower than last season, the current financial climate including rising energy costs and the impact this will have on the Club.

Manager Dean Gill said about the evening “When we came in 18 months ago it was with the ambition to grow the football team on the pitch but grow it sustainably. With the current economic situation, and a myriad of other contributory factors, we need to continue to improve our team on and off the pitch. I have a belief that the people of Darlaston don’t all fully understand how difficult it is to compete financially with other clubs at our level and many clubs one or two leagues lower. This is not a criticism of the support we have, as it’s fantastic, but because we don’t have a wealthy benefactor, we rely on teamwork, and to that end we need the people and businesses of Darlaston to help us continue our sustainable growth.”

This appointment, if we find the right individual or individuals, would be a massive boost in our short, medium and long term planning.
