Tonight's match in ON after the pitch passed its inspection

Great news this morning sees Darlastons pitch pass an inspection and bearing any heavy rain during the day tonight's J.W. Hunt Cup tie will be played

Tonight Darlaston Town are in J W Hunt Cup action when they entertain West Midlands Regional League newcomers Walsall Town Swifts at The Paycare Ground WS2 0EA KO 7.45pm.

The J W Hunt Cup Charity Cup originated in 1926 and is named after former Wolverhampton businessman John William Hunt .Even including during the second world war years the Cup has been played for every year since 1926/27 and has raised more than £360.000 for charitable causes since its inception.

The competition is open to clubs in Step 3 to Step 8 in the the Birmingham, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire FAs and this season entrants include Rushall Olympic, Alvechurch and Coleshill Town.

In recent years the final has been played mostly at Molineux. Darlaston will be looking to emulate the fete of 2006/07 when they were beaten 3-0 by Wyrley Juniors in the final.
