This evening Darlaston play J.W. Hunt Cup winners Sporting Khalsa at RSA Academy, kick off 8pm. ENTRANCE IS FREE

Tonight, Darlaston fans will see eight of Andy Parkes close season signings, these include two captains from teams we played against last season, and last season’s Division One Player of the Year, along with some returning faces from last season’s promotion winning squad.
Sporting Khalsa have only returned back into pre-season in the past two weeks ago, this is also their first game of their pre-season campaign. We would anticipate them to be in the middle of signing players for next season, so don’t be surprised to see some of the players that guided them to a third-place finish in the Total Motion Midland League Premier Division last season as well as winning the prestigious J.W. Hunt Cup at Molineux Stadium mixed with a few trialists and maybe even a few youth players looking to step up and make their name.

Manager Parkes said last night “I am really looking to getting back onto the side of the pitch, its not only the players that miss games, its everyone, the management, supporters, volunteers and anyone connected with a football club. The lads are well prepared and cannot wait to get going. Pre-season games are not always about results, its all about the quality of the performance, and getting the players ready mentally and physically for the first league game of the season on the 3rd August. It will be great to see the club’s supporters once again and say hello.”

This evening offers the chance for supporters to see each other for the first time since the end of last season, as well as seeing new additions to both squads. This is the first game of a long hard season for both clubs, so why not take advantage of the warm weather, and come and watch two sides who like to play football on a sound surface.

ENTRANCE IS FREE to the match, which is being played at RSA Academy Bilston Road, TIPTON, DY4 0BZ, kick off is 8 pm
