After last weeks postponed game, Darlaston Ladies have yet another crunch match, this time against third-placed Rugby Borough Women

After an enforced lay off last Sunday, due to a postponed fixture at Rubery Juniors, the ladies return to the Paycare Ground for a Premier Division game against third-placed Rugby Borough.

Darlaston and Rugby were both in Division One of the Birmingham County Women’s League last season and were both earned promoted into the Premier Division.
The teams met three times last season twice in the league and in the County Cup. Darlaston won all three games.

Rugby as mentioned currently sit in third place in the League winning four of their five games and have suffered a single loss against Redditch Borough who Darlaston beat 3-2 at the Paycare Ground in their last game.

Darlaston are still occupying top spot in the league despite missing out last week with an unbeaten record wining all six games accruing a superb goal difference.

Darlaston have received plenty of reports on how much improved Rugby are this season and they are bound to provide seriously difficult opposition. Darlaston Ladies know they still need to improve on many aspects of the game to get anywhere near the level of performance they were producing at the back end of last season before it was brought to a premature close. After their performance against Redditch, the squad were disappointed, and it was clear by how they played they reached know where near their usual high standard compared to other games. So this game is a must-win and a game the ladies need to step up and start to take control in early doors.

The match will be played at The Paycare Ground, Bentley Pavilion, WS2 0EA, Kick-off 14:00. Entry is free

As always support is welcomed
