In the clubs first year returning to youth football, Jamie Taylors Warriors win the first silverware for the club CONGRATULATIONS

Darlaston Town (1874) are delighted to announce that their youth section formed at the beginning of last season has won their first League Winners trophy sharing it with Wyrley.

On behalf of everyone connected to the club CONGRATULATIONS Darlaston Town (1874) U14 -Warriors.

The Warriors a team managed by Jamie Taylor and his assistant Karl Norman have jointly won the Walsall Junior Youth Football League U14’s Division One with Wyrley bot teams ended level on points, this League does not look at goal difference or most games won, the trophy is just shared.

The Warriors completed the September to May season consisting of 22 games, there playing record was 15 games won, 6 losses and single draw massing a total of 46 points. The teams within the League were mostly at the same level, therefore there were no certain wins, and each one had to be earned, because every team was more than capable of beating each other.

The announcement may be somewhat late, there is a very good reason for this as one of the final games of the season involving Perton and Tipton Youth was subject to a Discipline Matter which resulted in neither team receiving any points for their fixture therefore giving Darlaston Town (1874) Youth their first piece of silverware in their inaugural season.

First Team Manager Andy Parkes was on hand to present the team with the trophy and their medals. Al selection of photographs can be seen by clicking U14's The Warriors
