This year Darlaston Town welcome MFL Premier Division sides Studley and Tividale, they will be joined by promotion chasing West Midlands Regional League Division One Tipton Town.
This Saturday will see the inaugural Darlaston Town pre-season tournament with four teams playing for the Leon Taylor Memorial Trophy the games will start at 12 noon.
All four sides will play each other once in a 25 minute 11 a side game, with no half time or extra time. The winners of the game will receive the usual 3 points, and each goal scored by either team will also receive a point. If the scores end up level after 2 minutes each team will get a point each plus a point for every goal scored.
The team finishing top of the four teams will play the fourth placed team in a semi-final and the other semi-final will be second vs third. The winners will meet in a 25 minute final to play for the Leon Taylor Memorial Trophy.
Each club can bring a squad of up to 22 players so there will be plenty of new faces a trialists on show for every club and the afternoon offers the perfect opportunity for the supporters of all the clubs taking part to come and see how their club is progressing in pre-season plus every clubs new and potential signings.
Admission will be £6 Adults, Concessions £4 and children under 10 free.
This is something no local club has ever tried before, and it offers something unique that we hope will continue for many many years to come
