The Ladies put their unbeaten record on the line against Alvechurch Ladies who have started the season well and are in a false position in the table

This week Darlaston Ladies return to the Paycare Ground looking to continue their unbeaten run against Alvechurch Ladies.

After a determined performance last weekend at Southam, Darlaston are back on home turf against what will be another battle for a win.

Alvechurch are sure to be strong opponents, who are currently in a false position in the table as they have played a game less than Darlaston after last weekends postponed game against Birmingham Medics. So far this term they have secured two wins and a single loss suffered on the 3g pitch at Coleshill Town in a close game.

Darlaston’s newly formed team are clearly aiming for promotion in their inaugural season into the Premier Division in the Birmingham County Womens league. However, after last Sunday’s game they are well aware that this isn’t going to be an easy for them to achieve their goal, as Southam demonstrated they are not fallible.

Joint Manager Dave Ball said this week “We showed resilience and character to manage the overall situation last weekend, the Ladies passed their first psychological test and no doubt it won’t be the last. Preparation is key in our performance and last weekend it was very poor, due to traffic players were arriving late. This weekend there is no excuse and we will be prepared and ready for the fixture.”

Darlaston’s results so far suggest they have had an easy run, but football is football, and nothing can be taken for granted with any fixture. They know they have a tough battle ahead because the season is long, and no-one knows what around the corner .

Entrance id free and as always your support would be much appreciated.

Kick off will be 2 pm at The Paycare Ground. Refreshments and food available at the bar.
