Neil reviews the makeup of the Premier Division of the Midland Football League and new clubs we will meet and grounds we will travel too

As we look ahead to the 2022/23 season in the Midland Football League Premier Division we also look forward to playing 8 teams that we have not previously played in a League game in our 148 year history.

The clubs we have not yet played in a competitive league game are Highgate United, Market Drayton Town (although we did play them as Little Drayton Rangers in the West Midlands Regional League Premier Division in the early 2000s), Racing Club Warwick, Romulus, Stone Old Alleynians, Studley, Uttoxeter Town and Whitchurch Allport. It will be wonderful for our players and supporters alike to visit new clubs and venues and of course when they come to The Paycare Stadium we will be delighted to offer them our wonderful hospitality.

Of course we also renew old West Midlands Regional League rivalries with AFC Wulfrunians, Bewdley Town, Lichfield City, Lye Town, Shifnal Town, Stourport Swifts, Tividale, Walsall Wood and Wolverhampton Casuals.

Finally the Division is completed with last season's Division One Champions Atherstone Town.
