Both sides tried to play football on a sticky pitch, but both found life difficult as passes went regularly astray. For the remainder of the half neither side created a chance of any note. The only close efforts were from the talented Cradley captain Kieran Day, whose two efforts from distance cleared the Darlaston bar.

The first was a scrappy affair, neither side had any major periods on domination, both defences seemed impossible to breach, Darlaston line of Glasby, Ricketts and Fellows, along with Cradley’s Kettle, Dunne and Knight were able to deal with any probing efforts of the opposition.

A large crowed surely would be looking forward to a more free flowing second half.

At the final whistle Darlaston secured the win, taking then to third place in the table, especially as the Wolves Casuals and Worcester Raiders game had been

The hard work and endeavour of both sides was commendable, but the game was a scrappy, a hard and well fought affair, where both managers could not fault the effort of their players.
