It's back to league action tomorrow at the Paycare Stadium when Darlaston Town welcomes Bewdley Town, but the game will be subject to an early morning pitch inspection.
The clubs met recently at Bewdley Town’s Ribbesford Meadows ground, under lights, Darlaston securing the win in the 100th minute from the penalty spot, earning what could be a pivotal three points in their season.
Since the clubs met Bewdley travelled to Wolverhampton Casuals last weekend and after taking the lead after 7 minutes through Beqi Brigen Wolverhampton Casuals equalised in the 12th minute. Bewdley held out until the 84th minute when on-loan Piers Juliff scored from a free kick to secure the points for Wolverhampton Casuals. Bewdley had skipper Jack Ricketts sent off just before the half-time interval after receiving two yellow cards and he will miss tomorrow’s game.
Darlaston meanwhile have not played a league fixture since the game at Bewdley, however Tuesday evening's Smedley Crooke Memorial Cup game against Feckenham proved to be a very useful game for both clubs, Darlaston winning 2-1 with a late goal after Tom Cottam had scored direct from a great free-kick in the first half.
