It’s a quick turnaround once again for Darlaston as they face another league fixture tomorrow evening, travelling back to the Guardian Warehousing Arena, this time to play Dudley Town in a Midland Football League Premier Division game.
After the recent exploits against Sporting Khalsa, Dean Gill and his squad somehow produced another significant performance of note to win 2-0 at much fancied Whitchurch Allport and will therefore take their unbeaten run into tomorrow’s local derby.
Dudley Town, after finishing Champions of Division One last season, has seen Matty Lovett’s team play six league games so far, winning one, losing five with a goal difference of -5 on three points occupying 14th place. In the FA Cup they were beaten 3-0 on the opening day of the season by Worcester City.
In their last three league games, Dudley Town beat Bewdley Town 5-0 at home on Bank Holiday Monday with goals from Harry Crook, Owen Massey, Alex Perry and two late goals from substitute Oliver Waddison, giving Dudley a resounding win.
Their first fixture in September, Dudley Town travelled to the home of Studley losing 4-2, Harry Crook and Todd Sherwood scoring the goals.
Last Saturday Dudley were away for a second consecutive game this time at Stourport Swifts, losing 2-1 with Joe Colley receiving a straight red card with two minutes to go. Swifts scored first through a well struck James Hanson finish, Dudley’s Jamie Beddall equalising. Stourport won the game on 70 minutes Ethan Hanson scoring from a set.
Darlaston vs Dudley Town are traditionally tight affairs with some really close games over recent years, and tomorrow nothing else is expected.
Darlaston have yet to lose in the league so far this season, but at some stage the FA Cup exploits and Saturday’s hugely impressive performance in nearly 30 degree constant heat is bound to pay its toll.
Centre-half Ben Priest and long-term injury victim Reece Mason will both miss tomorrow’s fixture, therefore manager Dean Gill and his management team will be looking to their squad to maybe introduce some fresh legs for tomorrow evening’s game.
Kick-off is 7.45 p.m.
The game is being played at:
The Guardian Warehousing Arena
Noose Lane
Willenhall
WV13 3BB
Admission – Adults £7.00, Concessions £5.00, (Over 65 or Under 12 Free)

We hope to see as many Darlaston supporters make the 3 mile trip to Willenhall tomorrow evening, as Dean Gill and his squad will need everyone’s support.
We look forward to seeing you there.
