Tomorrow evening, Darlaston Town are once again in cup action when they welcome Wombourne Allstars from The West Midlands Regional League Division Two to the Paycare Stadium for a JW Hunt Cup game First Round tie, the winners will face Midland Football League Premier Division outfit Stone Old Alleynians at home in the second round.
Darlaston have already played Wombourne Allstars this season in pre-season friendly at their Wombourne Leisure Centre home, Darlaston winning 4-1 with goals from Keiran Miller, Aaron Bishop, Reece Mason and Leo Gill. The home side scoring from the penalty spot.
Presently Wombourne are 5th in the Second Division of the WMRL having played ten games, won five, drawn one and lost four.
Their last three fixtures have produced a win over Kidderminster Harriers Reserves 3-0 with two goals from Darlaston’s Charlie Manners and Hardeem Richards scoring from the bench. Wombourne drew 2-2 when playing second placed Oldbury United, Ethan Jarrett and George Tromans scoring the goals in the second half. Last Saturday tomorrow’s opponents lost 3-2 to CPA, Indiana Robertson and Daniel Hall scoring.
Darlaston meanwhile will be looking to get back to winning ways after Saturday’s loss on penalties in the Isuzu FA Vase to Dudley Town, after tomorrow evenings game they have a ten-day break from League action with their next game travelling Stourport Swifts on Saturday 4th November.
