Tonight Darlaston travel to Tipton Town for a League Cup Match. Kick off 7.45 pm

Tonight, Darlaston travel to Tipton Sports Academy for their first game under lights this season when they take on Neil Perks’ Tipton Town looking to progress in this season’s Divisional Cup.

Both teams form has been patchy of recent, Darlaston’s who are currently fifth in the League have seen the last five games produce three losses and two wins, against Wyrley and last weekend a better second half performance produced a 4-2 win against Bustleholme after being 2-1 down at half time.

Tipton meanwhile are currently in twelfth position, their last four league games have seen two 1-1 draws, and two losses. Their only win was against Woodlands WM Club in the first round of the Birmingham County FA Vase 3-2 away from home. This Saturday they take on Coventry Alvis who beat Bustleholme in the first round 2-0.

Manager Parkes confirmed this morning he has a fully fit squad to select from. The Tipton squad contains several ex Darlaston players such as Scott Broadway, Adam Skeldon, Sam Hesson son of Neil Hesson who was part of Darlaston’s County FA Vase winning squads at the beginning of the 90’s.

In the first of the two leagues encounters this season Darlaston ran out 3-0 winners on Bank Holiday Monday, the return fixture is early next year.

So please come and support Andy Parkes and his team, as they will want to progress into the next round of the competition, as do Tipton Town, so the game should be entertaining with goals. Whatever happens there will be a result this evening, if the scores are level at full time, extra time will be played then penalties.

This evening game kicks off at 7.45 and is being played at Tipton Sports Academy, Wednesbury Oak Road, Tipton DY4 0BS. Entrance is £5 for adults, £3 for Concessions and under 5’s are free.
