Following yesterday’s pitch inspection, Club Stalwart and Secretary Gil Preece has visited The Paycare Ground this morning to see the current condition of the pitches and how the thaw is progressing.

His report is quite clear “Good morning just an update on the pitches still not playable at Darlo. not looking to good at the moment with more rain and sleet to come tonight”.

Therefore, given his comments and photographs of all four pitches below, this weekends Birmingham F.A. County Vase Third Round tie may be is serious doubt. As we all know its not only about the snow and ice, its about water drainage and if the ground freezes overnight.
