Darlaston Town (1874) have been promoted to the Premier Division of the West Midlands Premier League

The Committee and Directors are delighted to announce that we have been promoted to the West Midlands Regional League Premier Division for the 2019/20 season. Also promoted to the West Midlands Regional League Premier Division are Worcester Raiders FC. Evesham based Littleton FC have moved across from the Midland League Division One.

This morning the Football Association has published the constitutions of all National League System Step 1 to Step 6 Leagues throughout the Country. Over the last two seasons the FA have reorganised Steps 1 to Step 6 Leagues with a view to creating the "perfect" Non League Pyramid system and reorganising Leagues where possible on a geographical basis.

The 2019/20 West Midlands Regional League Premier Division will consist of 18 clubs for the 2019/20 playing season. They are:

AFC Bridgnorth, Bewdley Town , Bilston Town, Black Country Rangers, Cradley Town, Darlaston Town (1874), Dudley Sports, Dudley Town, Littleton FC, Pershore Town, Shifnal Town, Shawbury United, Smethwick Rangers, Wednesfield Town, Wem Town, Wolverhampton Casuals, Wolverhampton Sporting and Worcester Raiders.

Last season's Champions Tividale have been promoted to the Midland League Premier Division as have Runners Up Haughmond FC. As part of the FAs restructuring programme four Premier Division clubs Hereford Lads Club, Malvern Town, Pegasus Juniors and Wellington have all moved across to the Hellenic Football league Division One West.

Whilst there remains an ongoing issue yet to be resolved the outcome will not affect the promotion of Worcester Raiders and ourselves. This should not distract from the achievements of ourselves and Worcester Raiders in what has been a magnificent 2018/19 season for both clubs in West Midlands Regional League Division One. In most other seasons the points tallies of both clubs would been enough to win the League and both deservedly promoted. Both teams finished well clear of their rivals and it is fitting that both clubs have been promoted. Both clubs can be proud of their achievements this season.

The constitutions of the West Midlands Regional League Division One and Division Two should be decided at the League AGM on Monday 3 June 2019.

To our players, management, directors, committee, sponsors, supporters, volunteers and advertisers I am delighted to say a massive well done on a superb season and prepare now for Premier Division football next season.
