Darlaston’s Manager gets his man after seven day approach

After the departure of Hayden Hughes to Black Country Rangers Manager Parkes has been looking to find a replacement and has finally secured his man after making a seven-day approach to a Premier League Club within the West Midlands (Regional) League.

Danny Mayne a 26 year-old forward this week signed for the Club. Danny who was at Wolves as a youth player has mostly played at a higher level, both in the West Midlands Regional League, and also the Total Motion Midlands Football League.

Andy Parkes said earlier today “Danny’s played mostly in West Midlands Premier League, so knows the challenges and standard at this level. He has an eye for goal and can play through the middle or out wide areas. We are pleased to have captured Danny’s signature especially as he has taken a step down in Leagues to join us. As we enter the business end of the season we believe he will have a positive impact on the squad and performances for the remainder of the season”.

Danny’s previous clubs include: Bustleholme, Boldmere and Dudley Town
